Job Description

Greeting and Seating Customers:

Welcoming customers as they enter the establishment.
Escorting them to their tables and presenting menus.

Taking Orders:

Taking customer orders for food and beverages.
Providing recommendations if requested.
Noting any special requests or dietary restrictions.

Serving Food and Drinks:

Delivering orders to the kitchen and picking up prepared items.
Serving food and beverages to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
Checking in with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.

Maintaining Cleanliness:

Setting and resetting tables.
Ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of dining areas.
Clearing empty dishes and used utensils promptly.

Handling Payments:

Presenting bills to customers and processing payments.
Providing change and receipts as necessary.

Customer Assistance:

Addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
Offering additional services or menu items.

Upselling:

Recommending additional items or upgrades to enhance the customer experience.
Suggesting desserts, drinks, or specials.

Team Collaboration:

Coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
Communicating with other waitstaff and management to ensure smooth operation.

Knowledge of Menu:

Being familiar with the menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
Keeping up-to-date on any changes to the menu or daily specials.

Adhering to Health and Safety Standards:

Following proper food handling and safety procedures.
Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations.

Multitasking:

Handling multiple tables and tasks simultaneously during peak business hours.

Maintaining a Positive Attitude:

Providing friendly and attentive service to create a positive dining experience.
