The role is customer service oriented and responsible for the overall experience of the guests. Take drink & food orders, communicate specials, recommend items, and manage the overall care of our guests. Responsible for timing food courses, and making sure the overall flow of the meal is proper. Comfortable with the guests, presentable and friendly, while maintaining a professional attitude. Able to recommend specialty cocktails and wines, and must be able to multi task while staying cool under all situations Keeping the bar top stocked with everything guests may use Taking inventory of bottles and related products Verifying customers are of drinking age Able to handle all manner of customers, even the difficult customers Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers alike Coordination for carrying plates and trays, although this can be a practiced skill for sure Requirements and skills
Additional Requirements: Experience with serving and recommending alcoholic beverages is appreciated Having knowledge of the general wine, beer, and alcoholic beverages the bar serves, to be able to make recommendations and answer questions Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings Understanding of cocktails, wine, beer, other beverages and food pairings for beverage orders Previous work experience in a similar role Understanding of restaurant etiquette High school or equivalent (Preferred) Should be able to walk and stand during an entire shift Very good English
