Job Summary:
The Waitress is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by taking food and beverage orders, serving meals, and ensuring guests enjoy a pleasant dining experience. This role requires attentiveness, professionalism, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Present menus, explain specials, and answer customer questions.
- Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen/bar staff.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and with courtesy.
- Ensure tables are properly set, clean, and presentable.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve complaints effectively.
- Process bills and handle payments (cash/credit card).
- Maintain knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and promotions.
- Follow health, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Support team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
- Previous experience as a Waitress or in customer service is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude and professional appearance.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to carry trays, plates, and drinks safely.
