Waitress -

The Waitress is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have a positive dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service

Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables when needed. Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations. Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen or bar. Provide attentive service throughout the dining experience. Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.

Order Handling & Serving

Serve food and beverages in a timely, courteous manner. Ensure orders are correct, well-presented, and delivered to the right tables. Provide refills and check back with guests regularly. Clear tables promptly and assist with resetting for new guests.

Cashiering & POS

Process payments accurately using POS systems. Handle cash, credit cards, and receipts responsibly. Issue bills and ensure proper billing procedures.

Cleanliness & Hygiene

Maintain cleanliness of dining area, service stations, and utensils. Follow proper food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines. Assist with opening and closing duties, including organizing supplies.

Teamwork & Coordination

Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow. Support fellow team members during busy periods. Attend staff briefings and follow instructions from supervisors.

Required Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory). Prior experience as a waitress/waiter or in customer service is an advantage. Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle busy shifts. Basic numerical skills for handling bills and payments. Professional appearance and positive attitude.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for long periods. Ability to carry trays, plates, and beverages safely. Good stamina and ability to work on weekends, evenings, and holidays.
