Coordinate dining room activities for a seamless service experience.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery.
Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the dining area.
Handle customer feedback and resolve issues in a professional manner.
Taking customer orders and serving food and beverages.
Ensuring tables are set and properly prepared for guests.
Handling financial transactions and processing payments
Monitoring inventory levels and restocking as needed.
Assistance with end of the service report and cashier responsibilities.
Up-sell additional products when appropriate
Follow all relevant health department regulations
Excellent knowledge of all food and beverages offerings, allergens and promotions.
Communicate order details, allergies special requests to the Manager and Chef
Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
Deliver checks and collect bill payments
Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties)
Education, Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a head waiter/waitress role with demonstrated leadership.
Hands-on experience with cash register and ordering information system (e.g. Revel POS or Toast POS)
Attentiveness and patience for customers
Excellent presentation skills
Ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and health standards.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Team spirit
Flexibility to work in shifts
