Provide friendly, efficient, and attentive service to all guests. Ensure a smooth dining experience by taking orders accurately, serving food and beverages promptly, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service
Welcome guests warmly and assist them in finding a suitable table.
Present menus and explain daily specials or recommendations.
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems.
Serve orders in a timely and correct manner.
Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction.
Handle complaints professionally and inform the supervisor if needed.
Operational Duties
Set up the dining area before shift (cutlery, tables, napkins, condiments).
Maintain cleanliness of tables, chairs, and service stations at all times.
Clear tables quickly and reset for the next guests.
Assist in packaging takeaway orders when required.
Follow all cafe service standards and procedures.
Cash & POS Handling
Process bills correctly and handle cash/card payments securely.
Issue receipts and ensure correct transactions.
Teamwork
Coordinate with kitchen staff for order follow-ups.
Support teammates during busy periods.
Attend briefings and training sessions as required.
Hygiene & Safety
Follow all food safety and hygiene guidelines.
Maintain personal grooming standards as per cafe policy.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
Previous experience as a waiter/waitress (preferred).
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work fast in a busy cafe environment.
Positive attitude and team spirit.
Basic knowledge of POS systems (preferred).
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
