Job Title: Waiter / Waitress
Department: Food & Beverage (Restaurant)
Reports To: Restaurant Supervisor / Outlet Manager
Job Summary:
The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing exceptional table service to guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience through attentive service, detailed menu knowledge, and a professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service: Greet guests warmly, present menus, take accurate food and beverage orders, and serve them promptly.
- Menu Knowledge: Have thorough knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to make recommendations and answer questions.
- Upselling: Suggestively sell appetizers, desserts, and specialty drinks to enhance the guest experience.
- Order Management: Relay orders to the kitchen and bar accurately via the POS system and coordinate the timing of courses.
- Billing: Present checks to guests, process payments, and operate the POS system correctly.
- Setup & Cleanliness: Set up tables before service and reset them after guests depart. Maintain a clean and organized station.
- Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a restaurant or hotel.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Positive, guest-oriented attitude and well-groomed appearance.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player.
