Position Summary
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Waiter/Waitress to provide excellent service to our guests. The ideal candidate will be the face of our restaurant, ensuring that every guest has a memorable and positive experience from the moment they are seated until they depart. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and managing the overall flow of your section.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service:

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and answer any initial questions.
• Guide guests through the menu and make personalized recommendations.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Serve food and drinks in a timely and professional manner.
• Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any needs.
• Handle guest complaints with patience, empathy, and a solutions-oriented approach.
• Thank guests sincerely and invite them to return.

• Maintain a thorough knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, daily specials, and promotions.
• Have a strong understanding of dietary restrictions and common food allergies.
• Set up and break down dining areas before and after service (including cleaning and sanitizing tables, chairs, and booths).
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including service stations.
• Process payments accurately (cash, credit, gift cards) and handle financial transactions responsibly.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, bartenders, bussers, and hosts to ensure smooth service.

• Assist fellow servers and team members during busy periods.
• Communicate effectively with the back-of-house staff regarding timing, special requests, and orders.
• Participate in pre-shift meetings and training sessions.

• Experience: Previous experience as a server or in a customer-facing role is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate with a fantastic attitude.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Customer Focus: A genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service and creating a positive guest experience.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and carry heavy trays (often 15-25 lbs).
• Team Player: A cooperative and positive attitude with a willingness to support the team.
• Problem-Solver: Ability to think quickly on your feet and handle high-pressure situations with grace.
• Availability: Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required in the restaurant industry.
• Legal Requirements: Must be of legal age to serve alcohol (if applicable).
