Waiter / Waitress (Food Server)
Job Summary:
The Waiter is responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience for restaurant guests. This includes taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction through attentive, professional, and friendly service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests, present menus, and explain daily specials and menu recommendations.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
- Serve food and drinks to guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each course and beverage.
- Handle guest complaints and escalate them to the supervisor if necessary.
- Prepare itemized checks and process payments (cash, credit cards, room charges).
- Collaborate with other serving staff and bussers to ensure smooth service.
- Maintain a clean and tidy station, including setting and resetting tables.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or in a customer service role.
- Knowledge of food service regulations and basic wine service is a plus.
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and carry heavy trays.
- Team player with a high level of professionalism.
- Basic math skills for handling bills and payments.
