A Waitress/Waiter is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service
Greet customers warmly and guide them to their table.
Present menus, explain specials, and answer questions about food and beverages.
Provide recommendations based on customer preferences.
Ensure guests are satisfied throughout their dining experience.
Order Taking & Serving
Take accurate food and drink orders using POS systems.
Serve food and beverages promptly and correctly.
Ensure tables are properly set, clean, and well-organized.
Refill drinks and assist guests with additional requests.
Cash Handling & Transactions
Issue bills, accept payments, and process transactions accurately.
Handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods responsibly.
Cleanliness & Setup
Reset tables quickly between customers.
Maintain cleanliness in dining areas, service stations, and equipment.
Follow hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
Teamwork
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
Support colleagues during busy periods.
Communicate customer feedback and issues to management
