The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service by providing a warm welcome, accurate order taking, efficient service, and ensuring an outstanding dining experience. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Present menus and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., about portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies).
Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
Serve food and beverages promptly, following proper service sequence and standards.
Ensure tables are clean, properly set, and ready for the next guests.
Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth operations.
Process payments accurately and maintain cash handling procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
Follow all hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
Support other team members as needed to maintain service flow.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a casual or fine dining restaurant.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service and multitasking abilities.
Basic knowledge of POS systems and order-taking.
Team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible with working hours, including weekends and holidays.
Positive attitude and professional appearance.
