The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing excellent customer service to restaurant guests by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a friendly, professional attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly and escort them to their tables.
Present menus and provide detailed information about menu items, specials, and promotions.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen or bar staff.
Serve orders promptly and ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal.
Check in with guests to ensure they are enjoying their meals and address any issues.
Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glassware.
Process payments, handle cash or credit card transactions, and issue receipts.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas and service stations.
Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
Upsell additional products when appropriate (e.g., desserts, drinks, specials).
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or in customer service preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
Basic math and cash-handling skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
