Job Description
Job Summary:
The Waiter is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have a pleasant dining experience. The role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers promptly and courteously.
- Present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages.
- Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen or bar staff.
- Serve food and beverages in an efficient and professional manner.
- Ensure tables are set, clean, and presentable at all times.
- Handle guest complaints and requests politely and efficiently.
- Process bills and handle cash/credit card payments accurately.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and promotions.
- Follow hygiene, health, and safety regulations at all times.
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
- Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress or in customer service is preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to carry trays, plates, and drinks safely.
