As an Indian restaurant waiter, your main responsibility is to provide excellent customer service to guests by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction. You will represent the restaurant and present the authentic Indian cuisine in a professional and friendly manner.

Responsibilities:

Greet Guests: Welcome guests to the restaurant, escort them to their tables, and provide them with menus. Assist guests with any questions they may have about menu items or the restaurant.

Take Orders: Take food and drink orders from guests in a professional and efficient manner. Ensure that orders are accurately recorded and communicated to the kitchen staff.

Food and Drink Service: Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to quality standards. Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of orders.

Upsell and Recommendations: Promote menu items, specials, and beverage options to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Make recommendations based on guests\' preferences and dietary restrictions.

Guest Assistance: Anticipate guest needs and provide assistance when required, such as refilling drinks, clearing tables, and addressing special requests or dietary considerations. Ensure guest satisfaction by promptly addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.

Payment Processing: Present bills to guests, accept payment, and process transactions accurately using the POS system. Handle cash payments and provide appropriate change if needed.

Table Setup and Maintenance: Set up tables for service, ensuring cleanliness and proper arrangement of tableware, linens, and other items. Monitor tables throughout service, clearing and resetting them as necessary.

Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the dining area, including tables, chairs, and floors. Clear and clean tables after guests leave and assist with general cleaning tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a waiter or server in a restaurant is preferred.
• Knowledge of Indian cuisine and familiarity with Indian food presentation and service standards.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and food/beverage delivery.
• Positive attitude, teamwork abilities, and willingness to assist colleagues and cooperate with other restaurant staff.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift and carry trays, and move around the restaurant.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
