Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they arrive, and seat them at appropriate tables.
- Take accurate food and drink orders, using a POS system as needed.
- Serve food and drinks in a timely and professional manner.
- Handle payments, using a cash register or card machine as required.
- Provide menu and wine recommendations, based on customer preferences and dietary requirements.
- Respond to customer requests and questions in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.
- Ensure that all tables are set with the appropriate cutlery, condiments, and other supplies.
- Keep the dining area clean and tidy, clearing and resetting tables as necessary.
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages, as requested.
- Handle customer complaints in a calm and professional manner.
- Receive and interpret take-out and delivery orders from customers, either in-person, by phone, or through an online ordering system.
- Pack food items, including entrees, side dishes, and beverages, in appropriate containers.
- Ensure that all orders are accurately packed and contain the correct items.
- Label and tag containers with information such as the customer\'s name, order number, and any special instructions.
- Seal containers securely to prevent spillage during transport.
- Arrange orders for delivery, including providing delivery drivers with detailed instructions, and any necessary information for GPS tracking.
- Prepare invoices and receive payments for take-out and delivery orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, and keep all packing supplies, containers, and packaging materials in good condition.
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures, including regular hand-washing and wearing gloves and other protective gear as needed.
- Creating, preparing, and serving a variety of fruit and vegetable juices, smoothies, and other beverages
- Prior experience as a waiter or server, in a busy restaurant setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Good knowledge of food and drink menus, and wine selection.
- Ability to handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately.
- Physical fitness and mobility, as the role may require standing for long periods of time, and carrying heavy trays.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic math skills, to calculate payments and prepare invoices.
- Attention to detail, to ensure that orders are packed accurately.
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
