v Handle minimum 4 tables \xc3\x98 Each waiter/waitress will be given 4 tables to take charge in one section \xc3\x98 Captain waiter/waitress will be in charge of the section and waiter/waitress must follow his/her instructions perfectly. \xc3\x98 For any complaints or suggestions, supervisors should be notified. In case the issue is not resolved the management should be notified as well. v Assist captain waiter when required or requested. \xc3\x98 Captain waiter will lead the team, under his/her instructions or lead, waiter/waitress will accomplish daily tasks and service. v Takes order from guest \xc3\x98 Ensure all orders noted are repeated for clarification to the guests. \xc3\x98 Ask or promote new or special items of Al Fanar Restaurant v Serving food and beverages to the guests. \xc3\x98 Waiter/waitresses are to serve guests with the food in proper manner by first removing any used tableware, cutleries and used napkins. Food runner will bring the food to the station ONLY. v Greet the guest \xc3\x98 Welcome the guests on your station (the 4 table) before seated or during. \xc3\x98 Menu should be provided immediately after they are seated. v Follow up on customers order and other requirements. \xc3\x98 Keep track of customer order and ensure all items ordered are served and nothing is missed out. \xc3\x98 Recheck the order and the items served, if missing then should be served immediately. \xc3\x98 When and if customer requests for additional items such as tableware, cutleries, extra order, glass or sauce, it should be provided immediately without any delay. Small items can be requested to the runner to provide. v Prepare and serve specialty dishes/greeting snack at tables as required. \xc3\x98 If not busy the runner on your team can arrange the greetings \xc3\x98 Keep in mind that the runner just like the captain waiter/waitress will be handling 8 tables. v Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens. \xc3\x98 For this specific task you can use the assistance of the runner in your team. v Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods. \xc3\x98 Waiter/waitress should be aware of the taste of the food served in our restaurant (e.g. Samak Mashwi is salty, because\xe2\x80\xa6\xe2\x80\xa6) and to be able to inform the guest if asked or requested to describe. v Provide bill and change for the guest \xc3\x98 Waiter/waitress can leave their section to get the bill but only if they are not busy, otherwise they can request it to the runner in their team. \xc3\x98 Waiter/waitress should double check the table number mentioned on the bill before handing it over to the table. v Check the greeting of the day or item unavailable \xc3\x98 Captain waiter/waitress or supervisor will post the items that are unavailable and greeting on each POS. \xc3\x98 If there is a need to clarify waiter/waitress should consult the captain waiter. v Maintain assigned section and table (cleanliness and organization) \xc3\x98 All tables on your station should be clean and organized at all times. \xc3\x98 Cleaning and clearing the table will be assisted by the runner on your team. \xc3\x98 If the work load exceeds manpower then request assistance from captain waiter immediately. v Meet guests additional requirements such as ash tray, extra sauce, extra side order, cutleries, tableware or napkins \xc3\x98 For this specific task you can use the assistance of the runner in your team, Only if absolutely required. Secondary Task: v Assure the Food served on time. \xc3\x98 Captain waiter/waitress will observe all tables assigned to their section to ensure food is been served on time. As the waiter/waitress in charge of the table, you should also ensure food is served on time and in the order that was requested (e.g. main course first and then soup) v Convince guest for any delay in food serving. \xc3\x98 Primary task assigned to the Captain waiter, waiter/waitress should only do so if directly asked by the customer of the delay and then must notify the captain waiter of the issue for immediate action. \xc3\x98 If the problem persists then notify the supervisor v Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems. \xc3\x98 Primary task of Captain waiter/waitress and can be also done by waiter/waitress in absence of Captain waiter/waitress of their team. \xc3\x98 Curtsey visit to the table on your station to make sure if the customers require anything or have any comments or complaints. For complaints try immediately to solve the issue (in absence of team leader) or if it cannot be resolved then seek assistance of the supervisor.
