Amentum is seeking a Video Teleconference (VTC) Engineer to support our contract efforts in Kuwait. What you'll do: Support a set of telecommunication technologies which allow two or more locations to communicate by simultaneous two-way video and audio transmissions Plan, install, operate, and maintain VTC equipment across the area of operations, to provide optimized VTC capabilities across multiple networks, services, and levels of security. Work with the Area of Responsibility (AOR) VTC Coordinator in VTC support for the AOR CE, using knowledge of technology to enhance command and control Work with the Network engineering and IA section to coordinate all VTC-related network changes well in advance of published deadlines Coordinate with different services and agencies across time zones Communicate complex situations to w/Staff Officers, General Officers, and those unfamiliar with technical concepts or language

Minimum Requirements: Must have an Active Secret US Government Security Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance. 7 years of VTC teleconference system experience AND 2 years' experience in a military environment; OR 11 total years of recent specialized experience. Network+ and Security+ certifications

Required Skills & Knowledge: Detailed knowledge of H.323, H.320, H.264, G.711, G.722, G.728, H.261, H.263, and H.264, including how to change/enable these protocols to make sure a call bonds properly and optimize the VTC systems. Detailed knowledge of Tandberg and Polycom VTC coder-decoder (CODEC) and equipment, including fluency in the functionality, capabilities, and operation of these devices. Detailed knowledge of Tandberg and Polycom Multi-point capabilities including fluency in the functionality, capabilities, and operation of these devices. Detailed knowledge of audio and video (A/V) concepts (i.e. how to set up and cable a room for VTC, where to put microphones to prevent feedback or audio issues, lighting, video, etc.). Knowledge and familiarity of DISA/DVSG and site licensing, including fluency in the functionality, capabilities, and operation. Knowledge and familiarity of encryption devices (KIV-7, KG devices, TACLANE devices, etc.) must know how to configure cryptographic devices to communicate with DISA/DVSG and other units. Must have knowledge of cryptographic fills, how to load an encryption device, how to verify the fill segments, and how to operate a Simple Key Loader (SKL). Knowledge and familiarity with the different networks in use within United States Forces - Afghanistan (USFOR-A), and the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Joint Coalition (IJC). Network troubleshooting skills and knowledge of networks. Technical documentation skills. Communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate complex situations to w/Staff Officers, General Officers, and those unfamiliar with technical concepts or language.
