Job Description

We are looking for an The AC Technician (VRF/VRV, DX & Package AC) is responsible for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced air conditioning systems including VRF/VRV systems, DX units, split units, and package air conditioners. The role involves diagnosing complex faults, performing repairs, and ensuring efficient system operation in compliance with company standards and client requirements.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related faults in all types of AC systems.

Perform leak detection, refrigerant recovery, vacuuming, and charging as per standards.

Conduct preventive maintenance including filter cleaning, coil washing, drain clearing, and electrical checks.
Check and calibrate system controls, sensors, and thermostats for proper operation.


Record operational parameters (pressure, temperature, voltage, current, superheat, subcooling, etc.) for analysis.

Coordinate with supervisors/engineers for root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.

Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper documentation of maintenance and repair activities.

Ensure adherence to company IMS, quality, and safety standards during all field works.

Assist in installation, commissioning, and testing of new AC and refrigeration units as required. Any other duties & responsibilities are assigned by the reporting Engineer/Manager.

Accountability

Trouble shoot of Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Ensure HVAC systems are operational, efficient, and within specified performance parameters. Minimize system downtime through effective troubleshooting and timely repairs.

Maintain accurate service records, checklists, and reports.

Ensure tools and test instruments are used properly and calibrated.

Follow safety protocols and ensure job completion within schedule and quality standards.

Qualification/Technical Skills:

Educational Qualification

: Diploma / ITI certification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent) OEM VRF/VRV System Training Certification (Preferred).

Experience:

Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing refrigeration systems.

Specialized Skills

:


Proficiency in handling VRF / VRV, DX systems, PACU units, hi-wall splits, and commercial HVAC equipment. Proven expertise in VRF/VRV systems (Daikin, Mitsubishi, LG, Samsung, etc.), DX systems, and Package AC units. Solid understanding of basic refrigeration and air conditioning principles. Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, pressure gauges, and leak detectors. Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge (control circuits, sensors, contactors). Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team. Valid HVAC technician license/certification (preferred). requirements.
