JOB PURPOSE:
The Data Privacy & Governance VP is responsible for supporting the Bank\'s Privacy Program including but not limited to daily operations of the FAB\'s data privacy program, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures, monitoring program compliance, investigation and tracking of incidents and breaches and protect customers\' and employees\' rights in compliance with GDPR and /or other applicable privacy regulations.
Accountable for the FAB\'s data privacy compliance program.
Develop and implement the organization\'s Data Privacy Policy
Provide best practice guidance on data protection and data privacy to relevant stakeholders across the bank.
Train and advise staff on the provisions of the Data Privacy Act
Identify and monitor business processes and technology implementations, ensuring they are aligned with data protection and privacy principles
Process and respond to valid customer/staff requests for information regarding personal data management
Ensure data remains up-to-date and is destroyed when necessary
Contribute and provide necessary inputs for the Records Management TOM for the bank.
Provide relevant support data protection/privacy to Data Leakage Protection team in the bank.

Organise and supervise the work of the assigned team to ensure that all work within a specific area of the activity is carried out in an efficient manner, which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.
Provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback to assigned team to support their overall development.

Provide inputs and implement policies, systems and procedure for the assigned team so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements, fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.

Participate in the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction
Generic Accountability - Reporting
Prepare sectional statements and reports timely and accurately to meet FAB and department requirements, policies and quality standards.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification
Should have Degree or Master\'s Degree
Certification like CIPM, CIPP/E or CISA is a must
Possess good Project Management skills
Highly developed communication skills, both verbal and written
A good working banking process knowledge and awareness of process risk and operational risk is a must
Minimum Experience
Experience of working in a financially regulated environment
Expert knowledge of data privacy legislation including GDPR and be able to draw on the privacy teams and expertise including local data protection laws.
A good working knowledge of the Data Protection Act (1998) and an understanding of the GDPR.
Strong analytical capabilities backed by sound academic background
Extensive experience in the area of Risk identification and reporting - ability to make good judgments regarding data privacy risks and to prioritize resources and activity around managing those risks.
