VP, Compliance - Distribution, Marketing & Customer Experience (UAE NATIONAL ONLY) First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) Al Qurm Business Park, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Full-time Division: Compliance Sub Division: Compliance - Consumer Banking Legal Employer: First Abu Dhabi Bank PJSC UAE PBG Compliance Team is responsible of providing compliance advisory services and support to all PBG Business areas as per the CBUAE and other relevant regulations as well as FAB Policies and Procedures. The role of VP, Compliance- Sales & Distribution, and Marketing & Customer Experience is responsible of providing second line of defence compliance advisory support to the following sub-areas. Sales, Branches, BDU & Contact Center, Customer Experience, Call Center, Marketing, PBG Business Governance & KYC Onboarding Team, Employee Banking, Projects Team, National Housing Loans and Alternative Distribution Channels. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Strategic Contribution Support implementation of the Bank's Compliance strategy within the PB teams remit to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing departmental strategies. People Management Manage PB Compliance Team resources by tracking against individual objectives and motivating staff to maximise performance. Provide guidance and on the job training for junior colleagues and conduct knowledge sharing sessions. Support the SVP & Head of PBG Compliance to identify PB Compliance Team resource shortfalls against the Compliance Department capacity plan. Act as a role model to direct and indirect reports to drive adherence to organisational values and ethics and foster a value driven culture within the bank. Budgeting and Financial Planning If required and directed, support the SVP & Head of PBG Compliance to prepare and recommend the PB Compliance Team's budget and monitor adherence to budget, while ensuring all sectional activities are conducted in line with the approved guidelines. Policies, Systems, Process & Procedures Support the Business Units to adhere to - Compliance policies, procedures and processes. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities for continuous improvements related to the systems, processes and practices based on risks and control deficiencies identified. Reporting Provide guidelines to the Technology, Data & Reporting Team and other applicable areas on KPI's and KRIs for reporting to senior stakeholders. Prepare MI related to PB for reports to the CBUAE, and other regulators as and when required. PB Advisory and Administration Provide Compliance advice to internal and external (Group wide) stakeholders as required. Develop and strengthen relationships to promote best practice and ensure a good understanding of Compliance requirements across PB. Provide advice for FAB Policy and Procedures as it pertains to PB Business and especially to those sub-business areas which are under the responsibility of the role. Provide advice for the PB product review process and financial promotions. Advise Business Units with technical insights and build credibility based on an understanding of their challenges related to products, customers and transactions. Provide updates to PB business on compliance requirements, best practices, market news, international regulations, hot topics and regulatory changes. Deliver Training as directed and required Support the Business Units during CBUAE audits and in responding to adhoc requests from CBUAE. Coordinate with Regulatory Compliance (RC) and Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) functions to provide recommendations on compliance risks as and when needed; otherwise, advise Regulatory Compliance and FCC functions on decisions being made. Connect requestors to Compliance colleagues to obtain approvals (when required), track and maintain records of decisions for the business unit. Monitor the issue tracking log for CB UAE complaints and follow up with Business on their remediation plan. Provide support in breach handling and breach reporting. Generic Track progress on implementation, and complete actions as required, of Internal Audit and Compliance Monitoring recommendations for the PB Compliance Team. Participate and monitor relevant compliance related projects for PB as per the project guidelines set by the compliance governance department Specific Accountability Act as the first point of contact within the compliance function for the Distribution & Sales, Marketing & Customer Experience teams within PB Compliance. Act as a compliance role model to the business teams including the Distribution & Sales, Marketing & Customer Experience but also to the broader PBG Business Units. Support the Business Units, specifically the Distribution & Sales, Marketing & Customer Experience teams to adhere to Group Compliance policies, procedures and processes. Provide Compliance advice to Distribution & Sales, Marketing & Customer Experience teams in a timely manner. Develop, strengthen and manage relationships with the Distribution & Sales, Marketing & Customer Experience teams to promote best practice and ensure a good understanding of Compliance requirements. Provide advice to the Distribution & Sales, Marketing & Customer Experience teams regarding changes in their business SOPs or products in line with compliance requirements. Attend periodic compliance-business meetings with the heads of the Distribution & Sales, Marketing & Customer Experience teams to discuss compliance related matters and concerns. Conduct compliance awareness and training sessions for staff of the Distribution & Sales, Marketing & Customer Experience teams on a periodic basis and in line with the function's training plan Understand the end to end processes of the Distribution & Sales, Marketing & Customer Experience teams and highlight possible compliance related concerns and assist the teams to mitigate these concerns. FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES, & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY: Functions within the framework and boundaries of Group policies as well as overall organisational and governance frameworks. Authorised to take decisions as per the approved authorisation matrix.
