The successful candidate in Interior Design is expected to teach Interior Design courses. The application package should include a detailed resume, a detailed description of teaching philosophy including courses taught and summary of the student feedback, in addition to research statement and portfolio. Applicant must submit also a cover letter where extent of experience with NAAB, CIDA or other accrediting bodies must be indicated. Primary Responsibilities Include:
Teaching Interior Design
Participation in departmental, school, and university committees and activities
Advising and mentoring students
Participation in outreach activities, such as continuing education workshops, conferences and seminars
Involve in research activities within the department.
Required Qualifications:
Candidate must hold a Ph. D./Master in Interior Design from an accredited institution of higher education
University teaching experience
Professional experience
Effective communication skills
Commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarly activities, including the use of high-impact educational practices
Interest and experience in working effectively with a diverse student population
Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty from a variety of disciplines
