Position Overview

The Vice Principal supports the Principal in leading the school's academic, operational, and cultural development. This role requires fluency in both Arabic and English, a deep understanding of local and international educational standards, and strong familiarity with the UAE inspection framework (e.g., ADEK, KHDA, or SPEA).

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

Assist in developing and executing the school's strategic plan in alignment with inspection standards. Lead school improvement initiatives and contribute to the School Evaluation Framework (SEF) and School Improvement Plan (SIP). Support the Principal in decision-making, policy implementation, and staff performance management.

Academic Oversight

Monitor curriculum delivery across Arabic and English subjects, ensuring alignment with national and international benchmarks. Oversee assessment procedures, including MAP, CAT4, and internal evaluations. Guide instructional practices and promote inclusive, differentiated teaching strategies.

Staff Development

Mentor and evaluate teaching and support staff. Organize professional development aligned with inspection recommendations and school goals. Lead recruitment and onboarding of qualified bilingual educators.

Compliance & Inspection Readiness

Ensure full compliance with Ministry of Education regulations and inspection frameworks. Prepare documentation and lead internal audits for inspection visits. Address feedback from inspectors and implement improvement plans.

Student Welfare & Discipline

Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive school culture. Oversee student behavior management and pastoral care systems. Collaborate with counselors and SEN coordinators to support diverse learner needs.

Community Engagement

Foster strong relationships with parents and the wider school community. Communicate effectively in both Arabic and English across all stakeholder groups. Represent the school at public events, conferences, and ministry meetings.

Master's in Educational Leadership or equivalent

Languages

Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written)

Experience

Minimum 5-8 years in education, with 2+ years in leadership
