Leading the Group implementation of complex commercial models, monetising trends in the IT world whilst driving simplicity and transparency within the Groups commercial approach, the VP of Service Economics plays a pivotal role in the growth agenda of NTT.
Driving commercial innovation in a structured and disciplined manner, the role interfaces with the Services Divisions and Regions to lead a collaborative process in driving positive business outcomes.

Reviews and approves documents for protection of the company's contractual posture and adherence to company policy.

Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions.

Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Working at NTT Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Define Service Economic parameters and cost recovery principles with Service Divisions including alignment on commercial constructs / terms
  • Implement the Group’s commercial approach to monetise market trends (e.g aaS) for the Group
  • Quantify efficiency benefits (automation / investments) in a scalable and consistent manner across the Group and ensure adoption to drive YoY efficiency and competitiveness
  • Drive unit cost transparency across the Service lines and platforms to ensure a balance of cost recovery with gross margin improvements and competitiveness
  • Identify innovative / differentiated commercial constructs and enable application to customer opportunities
  • Explore, create and implement creative deal strategies in a consistent manner to improve win rates, margins and differentiation
  • Keep abreast of competitor activity and ensure awareness of changes in the market, apply those learnings to our differentiation and strategic developments
  • Decisive commercial support on large multi tower opportunities, sharing best practice at a Global level
  • Structured competitive analysis of commercial offerings from basic components up to full-service stack, driving competitive advantage
  • Thought leadership on challenging the status quo with data backed analysis
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of capable commercial resources (direct and indirect reporting lines)
  • Contribute to the development of tools and logic that advance the commercial agenda (e.g CPQ development)

  • ‘Founder’ mentality in terms of ownership of business challenges and successful resolution thereof
  • Excellent written and oral skills ensuring clear articulation of complex business / commercial challenges and proposed options / solutions
Experience required:
  • 10 years + in Commercial leadership roles
  • Significant experience in defining and implementing IT ‘as a Service’ commercial models
  • Hands on experience in structuring complex deals, mitigating risk and improving win rates
  • Demonstrable ability in client facing negotiations and implementing commercial frameworks
Academic qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Finance / Business / Analytical subject OR Professionally qualified Finance (MBA / MSc / ACMA / ACA)
