Job Description

Our client, a large investment house is looking for a private equity professional to join their team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. You will be responsible to actively source, research, analyse, and evaluate private equity direct and co-investment opportunities and monitor the financial performance of the portfolio of companies and funds.

Role:

- Actively source, research, analyse and evaluate a variety of private equity investment opportunities contributing to the overall evaluation process
- Ideally brings a multi-nation network to increase deal flow
- Develop complex dynamic financial models and valuation analysis including DCF, LBO, precedent transactions, and comparable company analysis
- Take part in due diligence activities which include the appraisal of the company's past and projected financial performance, quality of its management teams, investment merits and risks, expected returns, etc.
- Execution of investment agreements and transaction-related legal documentation
- Analyse potential fund investment opportunities which include the evaluation of the fund manager's track record, investment strategy, value-add, and investment team
- Drafts internal fund investment proposals for approval of the Investment Committee
- Assists in negotiating, structuring, and completing fund documentation
- Monitor performance of portfolio companies/funds and overseas reviews of valuations
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting and board/IC materials as needed

Requirements:

- Minimum 8 years of experience working in a Family office or a Private Equity firm
- CFA or CAIA would be advantageous
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Economics, MBA preferred
- Hands on PE deal sourcing and end-to-end execution across different sectors is a must
- Possess outstanding financial modelling, research, analytical and valuation skills
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Must be a collaborative team player who delivers quality performance under tight schedules
