Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and enhance the ethics and compliance program to ensure alignment with applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, and NMC's policies.
  • Developing and updating policies, procedures and standards of conduct, conducting risk assessments, implementing monitoring and auditing processes, and providing guidance on ethical and compliance matters.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive ethics and compliance training programs to employees by designing and conducting training sessions, workshops, and other educational initiatives to raise awareness of ethical and compliance issues, promote a culture of integrity, and ensure employees understand their roles and responsibilities in complying with laws, regulations.
  • Oversee and manage investigations of alleged violations of laws, regulations, company policies, or ethical standards by conducting investigations, ensuring appropriate documentation and reporting, and providing guidance on corrective actions, disciplinary measures, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate ethics and compliance risks across NMC by conducting risk assessments, monitoring and analyzing trends, and developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies to minimize NMC's exposure to ethical and compliance risks.
  • Chair or support key governance committees (e.g., Ethics & Compliance Committee and A.I Committee).
  • Collaborate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including legal, human resources, internal audit, external auditors, regulatory bodies. Serve as a visible and values-based leader across the organization.
  • Lead the development, delivery, monitoring, and reporting of the NMC Group's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy. This includes aligning ESG initiatives with business objectives, engaging stakeholders, ensuring regulatory compliance, and reporting progress against ESG goals to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead the data privacy program, ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws (e.g., ADGM, UAE Federal, and Emirate-specific healthcare regulations, including the DOH and DHA). Act as Group Data Protection Officer and liaise with regulators as necessary.
Qualifications:
Education and Certification:
  • Bachelor's Degree - Business, law or related fields. Master's degree will be an advantage.
Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence, inspire, and articulate complex concepts and issues clearly and effectively.
Experience working with executive management and board-level committees.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate, influence, and engage with employees at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a high-performing team, cultivating a culture of accountability, inclusion, and purpose
Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in ethics, compliance, legal, or related roles, with a track record of success in developing, implementing, and managing ethics and compliance programs of which 4 years in a leadership role,
  • Healthcare experience in UAE will be an advantage
