The Vehicle Inspector is responsible for inspecting vehicles upon arrival and during internal movement, identifying any damage or missing components, and documenting findings accurately. Duties include coordinating with transporters and insurance surveyors, maintaining inspection records, and supporting yard operations. The role requires attention to detail, strong record-keeping, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. A valid UAE driving license and basic computer skills are required.
Key Tasks:
Vehicle Inspection & Quality Control
Perform thorough vehicle inspections against the provided vehicle list upon arrival at the port.
Inspect vehicles for any visual damage, missing items, or discrepancies, and accurately record findings.
Conduct quality inspections at all handling stages: port, company yard, PDI center, and prior to showroom handover or transportation.
Carry out random valeting and inspection checks to ensure transporters are safely loading and unloading vehicles.
Data Entry & Reporting
Accurately enter inspection data into internal systems (e.g., OneDrive folders).
Report any identified issues or discrepancies to the relevant departments promptly.
Customer Service & Communication
Provide professional and courteous assistance in person or via phone.
Maintain clear communication with internal teams and external partners while adhering to safety standards.
Yard & Operational Support
Work outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions, using and maintaining company-issued safety clothing and gear
Assist with general yard operations, including recordkeeping, organizing inspection forms, and managing checklist documentation
Support new vehicle stock maintenance and inventory at the storage yard
Insurance Coordination & Damage Handling
Coordinate with insurance surveyors for inspection of damaged vehicles at the yard or port.
Arrange for the movement and repair of insurance-approved vehicles.
Maintain accurate records of all inspection, survey, and approval reports.
Documentation & Record Maintenance
Prepare and update necessary documents such as storage log sheets, vehicle movement checklists, and inspection records

Knowledge, Qualifications & Skills required
Minimum 2 years of experience in a vehicle or quality inspection role.
Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred.
Good reading and writing skills with attention to detail and the ability to make sound judgments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Prior experience or knowledge in automotive inspection is highly desirable.
Must hold a valid UAE driving license.
