Core Responsibilities

VB.NET / .NET Application Development

Develop and maintain Windows Forms (WinForms) and Web Forms applications using VB.NET. Participate in software design, architecture, and requirement analysis in collaboration with stakeholders. Maintain and refactor legacy VB.NET codebase to improve performance, maintainability, and security. Implement reusable, efficient, and secure code following SOLID principles and OOP best practices. Develop custom modules, tools, and internal utilities tailored to business operations.
Database and Data Handling

Design, write, and optimize SQL Server stored procedures, triggers, views, and indexes. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with best practices in data management. Integrate applications with back-end services, REST APIs, or third-party data sources.
Testing, Debugging, and Deployment

Perform unit testing, integration testing, and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT). Identify and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, or memory leaks in VB.NET apps. Collaborate in version control and deployment using Git. Document software functionality, technical processes, and architectural decisions.

Added Advantage (if skilled in Node.js, React.js)

Node.js (Backend Development)

Design and implement scalable backend services using Node.js and Express.js. Create and manage RESTful APIs for integration with VB.NET frontend or third-party apps. Implement real-time data communication using Web Sockets or Socket.io.

React.js (Frontend Development)

Build dynamic and responsive user interfaces using React.js. Work with component-based architecture, state management (Redux, React Context), and modern design patterns. Integrate React apps with .NET or Node.js APIs for full-stack development.

Technical Skills

4+ years of experience in VB.NET and the .NET Framework. Solid knowledge of Windows Forms, ASP.NET Web Forms, and .NET Core Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server or similar RDBMS. Familiar with reporting tools like Crystal Reports, SSRS, or DevExpress. Node.js, React.js, PHP, or other full-stack web technologies. Experience in source control systems: Git, Bitbucket, or Azure DevOps. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or cross-platform deployment.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: .NET Developer, AWS Certified Developer) are a plus.
