Job Description

  • Sales development and planning: To collaborate with senior management to develop sales strategies and plans to achieve sales targets. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Team Management: To recruit, train, and manage a team of van sales representatives. To provide guidance, support, and coaching to the team to ensure they meet their individual and collective sales targets. To set performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Route Planning and Execution: To develop efficient route plans for the van sales representatives based on assigned areas, channel, and clusters. To ensure that the routes are optimized for maximum coverage and timely delivery of products to customers. To monitor the execution of the routes, Journey plan adherence, tracks sales activities, and analyze sales performance data.
  • Customer Relationship Management: To establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers. To identify new business opportunities and work closely with customers to understand their needs and preferences. To address customer complaints and resolve any issues to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Sales Monitoring and Reporting: To monitor sales performance against targets and prepare regular reports for the senior management team. To analyze sales data, identify trends, and recommend strategies to improve sales effectiveness. To keep track of market conditions, competitor activities, and customer feedback to provide valuable insights for decision-making.
  • Promotional Activities: To collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional activities. To coordinate product launches, sales promotions, and advertising campaigns to generate customer interest and boost sales. To ensure that the van sales representatives are equipped with promotional materials and sales tools to support their sales efforts.
  • Budgeting and Expense Management: To be responsible for budgeting and expense management related to van sales operations. To prepare and manage the annual sales budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost-control measures to optimize the use of resources.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: To analyze sales data and market trends to forecast future sales volumes and revenues. They prepare sales reports and presentations for management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed strategies for improvement.
  • Inventory Management: To collaborate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained in the vans. To monitor stock availability, coordinate replenishment, and minimize stock outs or excess inventory situations.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and safety standards. To promote a culture of safety among their team members and provide guidance on best practices for van operations and vehicle maintenance
