Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled

Valve Engineer

to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in

industrial valve design, selection, testing, and maintenance

, with hands-on experience in

control valves, safety valves, and isolation valves

used in oil & gas or process industries.

You will collaborate closely with

project, mechanical, and maintenance teams

to ensure optimal valve performance, reliability, and compliance with international standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design, specify, and select valves (control, ball, gate, globe, butterfly, check, relief) for various process systems. Review and approve valve datasheets, drawings, and vendor documentation. Conduct valve sizing, material selection, and pressure drop calculations. Perform inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of valve systems during fabrication and site installation. Provide technical support during commissioning, operation, and maintenance phases. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for technical clarifications and quality checks. Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO, ANSI, NACE, etc.). Prepare technical reports, maintenance plans, and failure analysis when required.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree

in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering (Master's preferred).

3-8 years

of relevant experience in valve engineering within oil & gas, petrochemical, or power sectors. Strong knowledge of

API 6D, API 598, ASME B16.34, API 600, and API 609

. Proficiency with

AutoCAD, SolidWorks

, or similar design tools. Familiarity with

valve sizing software

(e.g., Fisher, Samson, or equivalent). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and vendor coordination abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in

valve automation and control systems

(actuators, positioners, instrumentation). Hands-on knowledge of

maintenance planning and reliability engineering

. Certification in

API or ASME standards

is an advantage.
