Job Summary:
The Utility Worker in the kitchen supports the culinary team by maintaining cleanliness, handling kitchen supplies, and assisting with basic food preparation tasks. This role ensures the kitchen operates efficiently, safely, and hygienically at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as required.
Clean and sanitize kitchen workstations, equipment, utensils, and floors according to hygiene standards.
Collect and dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables in a timely manner.
Transport and stock ingredients, supplies, and equipment to different kitchen stations.
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen tools using manual and/or machine methods.
Handle laundry of kitchen linens such as towels, aprons, and tablecloths if needed.
Support minor maintenance tasks in the kitchen, reporting any damaged equipment or safety hazards.
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and occupational safety procedures.
Assist in receiving deliveries and checking stock against requisitions.
Perform other duties as assigned by the chef.
Qualifications:
Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
Ability to lift and carry heavy items, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Team player with a proactive and responsible attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED1,000.00 - AED1,100.00 per month
