Job Title Utilities Technician

Description

We are urgently looking for Utilities Technician for our Client in Abu Dhabi.

• QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma/ITI/ or General Equivalency Degree (GED);
• Three years' experience in construction or utility work or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job

• MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Observes the operation of water pumps, electric motors, electrical starters and panels, chillers, air compressors, cooling towers and chemical dosing systems and filtration units; reads various charts, graphs, gauges, and meters; computes from readings and records the water volume pumped; collects lab samples and performs standard analyses and tests as required; adds chemicals as needed;
• Walks a route to read and record water usage at water meters; tests meters, energy meters;
• Fulfills work orders to carryout corrective and unplanned maintenance and also modification works based on orders from production or other departments;
• Performs general preventive and scheduled maintenance; assists on major maintenance and repairs including cleaning, and painting; performs grounds maintenance;
• Perform conditional monitoring and daily operations for Utilities equipments.
• Serves in an on-call capacity on a rotating basis and may have to handle shifts alone;
• Conducts daily check of chilled water, cooling water, compressed air and natural gas supply system and other utilities periodically during the week;
• General mechanical, plumbing, electrical and A/C repair and diagnosis;
• Work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime;
