Utilities Manager
- French Fries production
Key Responsibilities
System Oversight:
Manage and maintain the "Powerhouse," which includesammonia refrigeration plants
(essential for frozen fries), 1st-classsteam generation boilers
, compressed air, and water filtration systems.Wastewater Management:
Lead the operations of the site'swastewater treatment plant
and ensure all effluent meets environmental and legal discharge standards.Energy Efficiency & Sustainability:
Monitor consumption and implement energy-saving projects (e.g., LED lighting, variable frequency drives) to reduce costs and environmental impact.Safety & Compliance:
ChampionProcess Safety Management (PSM)
and Legionella risk management; ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and food safety standards (HACCP).Project Management:
Oversee utility-relatedCAPEX projects
, including equipment upgrades and facility expansions, ensuring they remain on schedule and within budget.Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor a team of utility technicians, engineers, and external contractors.Core Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering.Experience:
Significant experience in industrial utility management, ideally withinfood manufacturing
or high-pressure steam environments.Technical Skills:
Deep knowledge ofrefrigeration (ammonia)
, HVAC, boiler systems, and electrical infrastructure.Soft Skills:
Strong strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration with production and quality teams, and vendor management.Job Type: Full-time
