Summary The Ultrasound Marketing Strategy Director is a key business executive responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies for the Ultrasound business at the Intercontinental region and play a critical role in driving growth and profitability, promoting products and services, building engagement platforms, and enhancing the effectiveness of commercial programs.



Roles and Responsibilities

The role will initially focus on Education Programs, Partners and Channel Development, Product-Market Fit initiatives, and Business Model Innovation in Intercontinental markets. The Marketing Strategy Director\'s areas of responsibility include:
  • Product-Market Fit Assessment and Optimization: The Marketing Strategy Director should ensure that the region\xe2\x80\x99s products or services meet market demand and serve the customers\' needs effectively. This involves conducting comprehensive market research, analyzing customer feedback, and working closely with the product and commercial teams. The goal is to understand whether the product\'s value proposition aligns with customer expectations and to make adjustments if necessary. The role should also support defining the target market for the full portfolio and ensure that marketing strategies are effectively tailored to reach and engage.
  • Education and Engagement Platforms Development: The Marketing Strategy Director is responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing education and engagement platforms that improve product understanding and increase engagement among customers and partners. This includes the creation of comprehensive educational content and resources, as well as the development and management of platforms for interactive learning and engagement. The Director should work closely with the product managers, clinical leaders, customer services, and commercial teams to ensure these platforms effectively support the region\xe2\x80\x99s objectives, such as product adoption, customer satisfaction, insight generation, and sales growth.
  • Channel Partner Development Programs: The Marketing Strategy Director is tasked with developing and managing programs aimed at fostering and enhancing relationships with channel partners. This includes identifying potential partners, setting up partner training and support mechanisms, establishing effective communication channels, and developing incentive programs. The goal is to ensure channel partners are effectively equipped and motivated to sell and support the region\xe2\x80\x99s products, services, and solutions.
Supporting Growth Initiatives:

As a Marketing Strategy Director, one of the primary responsibilities would be to support the region\xe2\x80\x99s growth initiatives. This involves working closely with the region\xe2\x80\x99s leadership teams to identify and pursue growth opportunities, whether that be entering new markets, launching new products, or forming strategic partnerships. The role should ensure marketing strategies align with and support these growth initiatives, including tailoring marketing activities to attract new customers, generate leads, or increase brand awareness in new markets.

Business Analytics: The Marketing Strategy Director is also responsible for supporting business analytics. This involves tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing data from marketing campaigns, customer interactions, and competitive landscape, and generating insights to guide decision-making. The role should work closely with the market insight teams, ensuring data is collected and analyzed effectively to measure business performance, understand customer behavior, and identify opportunities for improvement or growth.

Required Qualifications
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree or MBA in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • The role demands substantial professional experience in marketing, preferably in an international context, highlighting the need for a comprehensive understanding of diverse market dynamics.
  • A history of successfully leading projects and managing teams is crucial, showcasing strong project management skills.
  • Extensive experience (usually 15+ years) in developing and implementing effective marketing strategies is necessary. An effective candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in guiding companies through growth initiatives and have a solid understanding of business analytics. This individual should possess strong leadership skills, strategic thinking abilities, and excellent communication skills to successfully collaborate with various stakeholders and lead a diverse team.
  • Familiarity with international business practices and regulations, along with experience in managing cross-cultural teams and projects, is also vital. The individual should be adaptable and culturally sensitive, with the ability to navigate the complexities of doing business in different regions.
Desired Characteristics
  • Proven project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and manage resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives, are integral to this role.
  • Project management certifications like PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 would be an added advantage.
This role requires travel of between 40 to 50% of the time.
