The Sheffield Private School is a British curriculum school, located in the north of Dubai. The school follows the EYFS curriculum in its Foundation Stage year groups and the KS1 and KS2 English National Curriculum in Primary Years 1 to 6. In Secondary, students follow the KS3 English National Curriculum before taking IGCSE subjects in Years 10 and 11 and either A Level or BTEC in Years 12 and 13. Students graduate from The Sheffield Private School to universities across the world, including the UK.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an outstanding KS3 Science Teacher to join our current team who has excellent subject knowledge. The successful candidate should be adaptable, motivated by challenge and have a proven track record of outstanding practice.

The ideal candidate will:

Hold a certified teaching qualification, such as PGCE Or B.ED Or equivalent along with a subject qualification. Proven experience of teaching Science. The ability to demonstrate and share outstanding practice. A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom.

Successful applicants are subject to appropriate vetting procedures including satisfactory police clearance certificates for all countries in which a successful candidate has resided including home country is required. For candidates coming from or who have resided in the UK and an International Child Protection Certificate (ICPC) is required from UK police (ACRO) and a minimum of 2 satisfactory references out of which one has to be from the Principal/Head Teacher of the current/recent school you have worked with.

The Sheffield Private School is a British style school and member of the BSME offering a well-balanced, 'Ultra' curriculum that follows the English National Curriculum for children aged 3 to 18 years old. As a school founded in 2004, we have a strong community spirit and a dedicated educational faculty who hold inclusion close to their hearts. All our classrooms are equipped with interactive smartboards and displays and we encourage our students to bring their own devices from Year 3 upwards. Learning Innovation is an area we are exploring continuously with our current aim to become a Microsoft showcase school next year.



Not only do we focus on academics, our sports achievements have been remarkable too. TSPS was the U16 DASSA Champions 2018-19, remaining unbeaten against premium schools in Dubai. Our swim squad won the EISSA Swimming Gala U14 and U12 in 2018-19. We hope to retain our sporting accolades once competitive school sports restart in Dubai.



As befits an HPL school we are continually improving and striving for higher achievements. The school also runs a dedicated enrichment programme, with various recreational and academic clubs and activities to further students' understanding of a subject area and aid their personal development.
