Who We're Looking ForCommunication & Interpersonal Skills

Required:

Excellent written and verbal English communication Proven experience communicating professionally with diverse stakeholders (clients, partners, event attendees, or team members) Comfort conducting interviews, attending networking events, or representing an organization in professional settings Ability to engage with business professionals, ask thoughtful questions, and build rapport

Demonstrated by:

Experience in customer-facing roles, event coordination, or client communication Previous work requiring professional presentations or public speaking Internships or volunteer roles involving stakeholder engagement Examples of interviews you've conducted or events you've attended as a representative

Social Media Management

Required:

Active management of social media accounts (personal brand, organization, or client) with measurable engagement Experience creating and scheduling content across multiple platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) Understanding of platform-specific best practices and audience behavior Ability to analyze metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth) and adjust strategy accordingly

Demonstrated by:

Portfolio showing social media accounts you've managed with growth metrics Examples of successful campaigns or posts you've created Screenshots or analytics showing engagement results Experience with scheduling tools (Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer, Later, etc.) Content calendars you've created and executed

Content Writing

Required:

Published writing samples (online articles, blog posts, newsletters, or student publications) Strong research skills with ability to fact-check and cite sources appropriately Experience interviewing people and turning conversations into written content Ability to write for professional/business audiences, not just academic contexts Excellent grammar, editing, and proofreading skills

Demonstrated by:

Minimum 3 published articles or blog posts (links required) Experience writing for websites, organizations, or publications Ability to write different content types (news articles, thought leadership, case studies, social copy) Examples showing you can explain complex topics in accessible language Previous journalism, content writing, or copywriting experience (paid or volunteer)

Graphic Design

Required:

Portfolio of original design work created for real projects or clients Proficiency with design software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or Canva Pro) Experience creating social media graphics, presentations, flyers, or marketing materials Understanding of visual hierarchy, typography, color theory, and brand guidelines Ability to work from brand guidelines or create designs that match existing brand identity

Demonstrated by:

Portfolio with minimum 8-10 original design pieces Examples of work created for actual organizations, events, or campaigns (not just class projects) Social media graphics you've designed that were published Before/after examples showing your design process Experience designing for both digital and print formats
