Business Need / Purpose of Role
The Operations Executive reporting to the Regional Operations Centre Manager shall be responsible to Co-ordinate and perform vessel call activities at RAK port and other various ports handled by Inchcape Shipping Services independently. Also, he shall assist in data collation / market information for Inchcape Shipping Services business development.
Objectives & Measurement \xe2\x80\x93 Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Operations

• Coordinate and collaborate with various stakeholders, port, customs, immigrations, to ensure smooth turn-around of a port call.
• Monitor cargo operations and send timely updates to all parties concerned diligently.
• Timely vessel attendance on board - upon arrival, during port stay as required and prior sailing.
• Perform Immigration and Customs clearances of vessels/crew as applicable in a timely manner and most efficient manner.
• Plan and organize launch services.
• Co-ordinate for timely delivery of all supplies and arrangements to place it on board ISS launch or ISS hired launch for timely departure of supply launch.
• Co-ordinate with support services \xe2\x80\x93 spares desk as well as other location for clearing and delivering spares to / from vessels.

External Providers

• Liaise with clients, vendors & port services on a daily basis
• Ensure all shipping documentation is issued on time and accurately
• Always perform accurate and timely updates of systems in order to have fresh data and present the best information to clients

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• A foundational knowledge of Port Operations.
• Competent user of the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Being able to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.
• Balance multiple tasks, changing priorities & operate within a deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and to strict timelines
• Possess strong time management and organizational skills
• Communication and building rapport with all kinds of people
• Authentic (doing the right thing even when no one is looking)
• Have a global perspective and be progressive thinking

Education, Qualifications, Certifications, and Licenses
Education/Experience:

• 3-4 years hands on experience in Port agency operations, absolute knowledge of various types of vessels, cargoes, launch activities, shipping terms and practices.
• Adequate exposure to the RAK and other UAE Ports Operations is required, the ideal personality should currently be based in Fujairah or willing to relocate.
• Port agency, chartering, logistics, seagoing experience (general maritime industry) or related field preferred.
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in relevant field would be appreciated
