Typhoon Training Cell Supervisor Grade: 7 Location: Taif, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships. The purpose of this role is for training and examining PC and RSAF Typhoon technical staff in the ground handling, refuelling and flight servicing of the Typhoon aircraft system in order to ensure that continuing airworthiness and first line maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with BAE Systems Saudi Arabia SALAM Maintenance Organisation Exposition and associated Quality Management System. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES To train and examine BAE Systems Staff and RSAF Typhoon technical staff in flight line activities. Assist the Aircraft Generation Flight Line Controller by carrying out flight line duties as directed by management chain. Raising Technical Publication Review Forms (TPRF) against approved data. Adhering to tool control procedures. Adhering to the use of only approved data. Carrying out good husbandry practices. Liaise with RSAF and BAE Systems management in order to identify any training opportunities or to highlight any potential training shortfalls. Support the production of monthly progress reports to identify training progression. Obtain the appropriate licence and authorisations to operate, support and task vehicles of various types, and tow aircraft and support equipment. Act as fleet vehicle custodian if directed by maintenance management. Assist Rects Control by providing additional training and supervision to RSAF and BAE Systems personnel (to include but not limited to) aircraft tow duties etc. Deputise for the Training Cell Senior Supervisor during periods of leave or absence, to include, but not limited to, the arrivals process for new personnel. Undertake any task deemed to be reasonable, within the scope of the Training Cell, as directed by Senior Supervisors and line management. Demonstrating certain behaviours in all the work undertaken and in interactions with other maintenance personnel in line with M&CA People Behaviours BAESKSA-ENG-MCA-GOV-005 Support and participate in the reporting of ALL Product Safety & Environmental occurrences, promoting a Just Culture. This provides for a working environment of trust where all employees, all of whom are professionals, each have a clear understanding of what standard of behaviour is considered acceptable or unacceptable. Promote and support the Salam Operations Quality Management System by understanding the requirements of AS9110. Promotion of customer focus throughout the organisation whilst recognising and highlighting opportunities for continuous improvement (CI). RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION Essential Have extensive proven experience in teaching basic Aeronautic/sciences supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training. Typhoon trade specific Q Course (exceptional candidates will be considered without however they must meet the extensive proven experience criteria stipulated above). Leadership skills and proven ability to supervise all levels of engineering personnel. Experience in technical training within a company, military and / or educational environment. Experience as a trainer / instructor in an Aeronautic/sciences subject area. Degree Qualified in an Engineering discipline Or HND Level in Engineering or carries a National civilian / military equivalent qualification that includes successful completion of a recognised national aircraft maintenance traineeship /apprenticeship National Aircraft Maintenance Qualifications as agreed by the Directorate. This includes, but is not limited to:

Royal Saudi Air Force Aircraft Maintenance Qualifications (Skill Level 7) UK Royal Air Force Aircraft Maintenance Qualifications Other Military Aircraft Maintenance Qualifications as agreed by the directorate EASA (Part 66) Aircraft Maintenance Qualifications (Cat A,B, or C) or GACA equivalent. BAE Systems Saudi Arabia Trained Aircraft Maintenance Personnel (SNTTP/ TSNTTP/FLMP). Applicants holding other nationally awarded Aircraft Maintenance Qualifications should consult the Directorate For non-native English speakers, English Language proficiency equivalent to (IELTS 4.5). Desirable Should have and be able to demonstrate sound oral and written two-way communication skills with the ability to be tactful, discreet and confident in dealing with people at all levels. Should be able to work on their own initiative to resolve complex technical issues. Thorough understanding of company processes and procedures Broad aerospace and defence company / industry knowledge. Proven supervisory experience within the area of definition. RECRUITMENT Have operational experience of Aircraft Maintenance & Support. You have experience of interfacing with customers, regulatory bodies and other key stakeholders. Working knowledge of Engineering Support System (ESS). You should be able to apply your knowledge in a practical manner. You are able to interrogate the system to gather information and carry out transactions. Aware of the Aircraft Maintenance and Support Business Model and understand the typical terms used within it. Conversant with the standards and regulations appertaining to our business, their interaction and applications. You have applied a given set of Regulations and demonstrated compliance with such regulations. You have had formal training and experience in the development of a Regulatory Framework and clearly understand the elements which make up such a Framework. You have worked in a customer environment and demonstrated compliance with a Regulatory Framework. A familiarisation with the principal elements of WOME and the impact on the business that the legislative requirements have. Understand and recognise the terms Customer and Stakeholder, and the need to establish and maintain high standards of engagement with all parties. Recognise the differences between the provider and recipient in transactions. Recognise the differences in operating environments and the corresponding cultural differences inside and outside the organisation.
