Job title: Project Manager - Typhoon Support Services Location: Oman Salary: Up to £76,000 depending on skills and experience Referral Scheme Bonus: £2,000 Grade: GG12

What you'll be doing: · Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of in-country recurring Service Delivery of the Oman Ltd Typhoon Support Services Contract · You'll be jointly responsible to the Head of Contract for specific Project Manager (PM) aspects associated with planning, managing, integrating and executing delivery, meeting both customer and business requirements · Leading a small team of on base PM Professionals in direct support of the Head of Operations with critical reach back to the Oman Ltd Head of Contract in the UK and the Typhoon Customer Support Manager in Muscat · Maintain project plans and budgets for the phases of the Support Services contract ensuring that specific deadlines and milestones are agreed and communicated to all parties involved · Develop on base project management team skills, resources and capabilities to effectively deliver the Typhoon Services Contract liaising with all functions to ensure a cohesive integrated project team is in place · Ensuring all Customer Programme reviews are planned, executed, organised and discharged to ensure the effective management of Customer expectations and Contract Performance

Your skills and experiences: Essential: · Qualified to degree level, preferably in Project Management, Business Management, or a technical related subject and/or have achieved APMP Qualification or equivalent · The successful candidate will have proven people leadership experience, alongside the vision and business acumen to lead and develop a multifunctional team. · Demonstrable level planning and scheduling skills, ensuring the complex activities of interrelated project teams are controlled, managed and linked into the overall business plan. · A proven track record of successful management within complex multi-functional programmes and sensitive projects. Desirable: · Experience of a middle-eastern (or similar) overseas programme would be advantageous

The Oman Typhoon Support Services team: This role is part of a fast-paced, focused and motivated team supporting the Royal Air Force of Oman's Typhoon fleet. Based at Adam Air Force Base, directly responsible to the BAE Systems Head of Operations and managing the on-base project management cell, you will play a leading role in the application, planning, execution and management of all project management activities required to ensure flawless delivery of the support service. This is an exciting over-seas role for someone keen to develop their in-service skills in a customer-facing and dynamic environment.
