Typhoon Data Management Cell Supervisor Grade: 7 Location: Taif, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. The supervision of personnel within the Data Management Cell, with the overall task of Maintaining standards of all documentation and data WRT aircraft engineering and servicing. Control and supervise personnel and resources pertinent to the Data Management Cell activities in order to ensure that continuing airworthiness and maintenance activities on Typhoon aircraft are carried out in accordance with BAE Systems Saudi Arabia SALAM Maintenance Organisation Exposition and associated Quality Management System in support of Typhoon aircraft maintenance activities at Forward Maintenance. To certify, within the terms of the authorisations issued, that maintenance has been carried out in accordance with the relevant publications and the BAE Systems Maintenance Organisation Exposition. The job holder will supervise BAE Systems staff and Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) personnel as well as perform mentoring and consolidation development of these tradesmen in the Forward Maintenance environment. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES Supervision of all Data Management Cell training and day-to-day activities within the Forward. Ensuring that all continuing airworthiness and maintenance activities conducted within their Area of Responsibility are carried out in accordance with current processes and procedures by appropriately authorised, qualified and experienced personnel. Ensuring that all engineering activity within your control is covered by the appropriate delegated authorities. Maintaining standards of all documentation and data WRT aircraft engineering and servicing. Ensuring timely implementation of Modifications, Special Instructions (technical) and NIR's to Forward Maintenance aircraft. Management and supervision of non-secret Electronic Deliverable Data (e.g. UMP) in DMC possession. Ensuring that good communication and liaison is maintained with both internal and external agencies, with particular attention to aircraft acceptance / dispatch, queries originating from Forward Maintenance, and any reporting commitments to the TSC and any relevant agencies. Ensuring Technical Enquiries are monitored and dispatched to relevant agencies on Team Centre and that the squadron register is maintained. Ensuring electronic F700 QA and data QA checks are carried out when required and that they are documented and controlled appropriately. The general running of the Forward Maintenance Data Management Cell. Disseminating applicable engineering information to relevant personnel on both shifts at daily briefs. Assist with aircraft allocation and maintenance planning so that each may meet its planned usage. Supervise and manage the acceptance and departure of aircraft from the squadron, from a data and paperwork perspective. As a supervisor exercise delegated health and safety responsibilities over all personnel employed in their control, including other persons who may be affected by their work activities. Ensuring that all completed Tool Control forms TTP 108 Forms A &B are collected on a monthly basis and archived in the DMC for a period of 3 months. Ensuring that all personnel engaged in activities in their Area of Responsibility follow the correct practices and observe safety precautions thereby complying with the requirements and limitations detailed in the Salam Support Safety Case Report and that as far as is reasonably practicable ensuring that no one is exposed to any unnecessary or uncontrolled risk. Ensuring good husbandry practices are implemented. Ensure that the Safety Management Systems and Maintenance Error Management Systems are understood by staff under your direction and control Ensuring FOD control measures are implemented effectively. Completing any other reasonable duties or requests that are made by your line management. Demonstrating certain behaviours in all the work undertaken and in interactions with other maintenance personnel in line with M&CA People Behaviours BAESKSA-ENG-MCA-GOV-005. Support and participate in the reporting of ALL Product Safety & Environmental occurrences, promoting a Just Culture. Promote and support the Salam Operations Quality Management System by understanding the requirements of AS9110. Promotion of customer focus throughout the organisation whilst recognising and highlighting opportunities for continuous improvement (CI). RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION Essential Extensive post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR extensive on Typhoon experience. Typhoon Q Course (exceptional candidates will be considered without however they must meet the extensive proven experience criteria stipulated above). Leadership skills and proven ability to supervise all levels of engineering personnel. Relevant equipment specific training. Qualified to HNC / HND (with military add on training applicable to trade) or national civilian / military equivalent and successful completion of a recognised national aircraft maintenance traineeship / apprenticeship National Aircraft Maintenance Qualifications as agreed by the Directorate. This includes, but is not limited to: Royal Saudi Air Force Aircraft Maintenance Qualifications (Skill Level 7) UK Royal Air Force Aircraft Maintenance Qualifications Other Military Aircraft Maintenance Qualifications as agreed by the directorate EASA (Part 66) Aircraft Maintenance Qualifications (Cat A,B, or C) or GACA equivalent. BAE Systems Saudi Arabia Trained Aircraft Maintenance Personnel (SNTTP/ TSNTTP/FLMP). Applicants holding other nationally awarded Aircraft Maintenance Qualifications should consult the Directorate · For non-native English speakers, English Language proficiency equivalent to (IELTS 4.5). Desirable Formal training in analysing SHM arisings. Have experience and working knowledge of EASA Part 145 & 147. Thorough understanding of company processes and procedures Broad aerospace and defence company / industry knowledge. Proven supervisory experience within the area of definition. RECRUITMENT Ex-military or industry experience of serving on an operational military flying unit. Good working knowledge of Typhoon Systems. Experience of working in the aviation industry in a Gulf Coast Country preferred. The ability to act upon their own initiative within the scope of their job. A conscientious approach to work and meticulous attention to detail is also required. Previous experience of conducting On-the-Job training activities would be advantageous Ability to deliver and supervise consolidation training activities to engineering personnel. A track record of meeting strict deadlines without compromising standards and quality.
