Position Overview
Drydocks World Dubai, a DP World company, is hiring a Tug Engineer to manage daily maintenance and technical operations of tug vessels. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operation of tug machinery to ensure efficiency and reliability
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance, oil and filter changes, and repairs for all onboard systems
• Report mechanical faults and maintenance requirements to the Foreman Tug Fleet / In-charge promptly
• Maintain spare parts and machinery inventory; prepare and submit material requests as needed
• Ensure all maintenance activities follow company quality and safety standards
• Perform PMS routines and maintain cleanliness and order in machinery spaces
• Coordinate with supervisors and crew to ensure seamless tug operations
• Inspect and verify materials and equipment before use, reporting defects immediately
• Participate in technical training programs and maintain compliance with safety procedures
• Promote a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement

Ideal Profile

• Minimum 12th grade with Science; Marine Diploma preferred
• STCW.3 (Engine) Restricted certification required
• 3-5 years of experience as a Tug Engineer in the port or marine industry
• Strong knowledge of dual fuel diesel engines and marine systems
• Skilled in machinery maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical reporting
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Safety-focused and self-motivated with attention to detail
