The Truck Tire Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and replacing tires on commercial trucks, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. The role includes inspecting tires for wear and damage, performing rotations, balancing, alignments, and executing emergency roadside tire services. This position requires physical strength, attention to detail, and knowledge of tire maintenance and repair procedures.
Key Responsibilities:

Tire Inspection and Maintenance:
o Inspect truck tires for wear, damage, and pressure compliance.
o Perform tire rotations, balancing, and alignments to ensure even wear and optimal performance.
o Assess tread depth and identify signs of uneven wear or potential safety issues.

Tire Installation and Repair:
o Replace damaged or worn-out tires with appropriate replacements.
o Repair punctures or leaks using patching or other repair methods.
o Ensure proper torque and tightening of wheel bolts.

Emergency Services:
o Provide roadside assistance for flat tires or tire failures.
o Safely operate service trucks equipped with tire repair tools.
4.
Safety and Compliance:
o Follow safety protocols while working with heavy equipment and tools.
o Adhere to local, state, and company regulations regarding tire handling and disposal.
5.
Equipment and Tool Maintenance:
o Maintain and calibrate tools and machinery used for tire services.
o Ensure the proper functioning of air compressors, jacks, and other tire repair equipment.

Customer Service:
o Communicate effectively with customers about tire conditions and recommended services.
o Provide clear explanations of work performed and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Tire Technician, preferably with commercial or heavy vehicles.
Knowledge of tire types, sizes, and repair techniques.
Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy tires and perform manual labor.
Valid driver's license (CDL preferred for service truck operation).
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
Skills:
Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Proficiency in using tire repair tools and equipment.
Good communication and customer service abilities.
Work Environment:
Outdoor and workshop settings, with exposure to varying weather conditions.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety.
