Job Purpose:

Responsible for operating and maintaining heavy vehicles and aerial lift trucks during night-time street lighting maintenance activities across Al Ain Municipality. Ensures the safe transport and positioning of vehicles to support technicians during luminaire replacement, repair, and cleaning works, while complying with all Dalkia HSE standards, traffic laws, and municipal safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate assigned heavy vehicles (e.g.,

bucket truck, flatbed, or crane truck

) in a safe and efficient manner during night operations.

Position and stabilize the vehicle to support electrical technicians in luminaire maintenance activities.

Transport luminaires, materials, spare parts, and equipment between Dalkia's depot, workshop, and work sites.

Maintain defensive driving practices and adhere to all UAE traffic laws and company driving policies.

Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (tires, lights, oil, brakes, hydraulics).

Perform minor maintenance on assigned vehicle(s) and coordinate scheduled servicing with the transport or workshop team.

Keep the assigned vehicle clean, functional, and ready for operation at all times.

Maintain accurate Driver's Log Sheets and record fuel, mileage, and daily tasks.

Set up safety cones, barricades, and warning lights before night maintenance begins.

Follow Dalkia's HSE procedures, participate in Toolbox Talks, and immediately report any incidents or near misses.

Support emergency call-outs and lighting fault response operations as per maintenance schedules.

Serve as a positive and professional representative of Dalkia in the presence of Al Ain Municipality inspectors or client representatives.

QHSE Responsibilities:

Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and avoid putting others at risk.

Comply with Dalkia's HSE and EDF Group safety protocols.

Report any unsafe acts, near misses, or equipment failures immediately.

Never operate vehicles under fatigue, alcohol, or any condition that affects safety.

Maintain high housekeeping standards for vehicles and work areas.

Skills Required:

Excellent defensive and night driving skills.

Knowledge of street lighting routes, equipment, and operations.

Good mechanical awareness and basic understanding of vehicle maintenance.

Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with electricians and supervisors.

Ability to read and interpret maps, directions, and route plans.

Flexible and reliable with readiness for night shifts and emergency mobilizations.

Qualifications:

High School Certificate or equivalent.

Valid UAE Heavy Vehicle Driving License (Category 4).

Minimum 3 years' experience in utilities or maintenance driving (preferably street lighting).

Scope and Limits of Authority:

Operate and maintain assigned Dalkia vehicles within the approved project areas of Al Ain Municipality.

Responsible for ensuring the vehicle's safety, cleanliness, and compliance with maintenance schedules.

Report all mechanical issues, incidents, or damages to the supervisor before vehicle handover.

LIMIT OF AUTHORITY:

Must not operate beyond authorized routes or without required permits.

Must not engage in unsafe practices such as overloading, reckless driving, or breaching HSE policies.

Must not transport unauthorized passengers or materials unrelated to official duties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2.00 - AED3.00 per month
