As a Travel Consultant for our global online and bespoke sustainable travel and tourism business, you will play a crucial role in curating unforgettable and responsible travel experiences. Your primary responsibility is to engage with clients, understand their preferences, and design custom itineraries that align with our commitment to sustainable tourism.

You will be at the forefront of promoting eco-friendly accommodations, responsible tour operators, and carbon-conscious transportation options. Your role involves staying updated on sustainable travel trends, establishing partnerships with like-minded businesses, and educating clients on the positive impact of their choices.

The Travel Consultant position requires a passion for sustainable travel, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. You will contribute to the growth of our sustainable travel business by continually improving our offerings, incorporating new sustainable practices, and ensuring that our clients have enriching and responsible travel experiences.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Engagement:

Engage with clients to understand their travel needs, preferences, and sustainability goals. Provide personalized recommendations for sustainable travel experiences, considering eco-friendly accommodations, responsible tour operators, and carbon-conscious transportation options.
2. Itinerary Planning:

Create bespoke travel itineraries that align with the company's commitment to sustainable tourism. Design travel packages that promote cultural exchange, wildlife conservation, and community empowerment.
3. Product Knowledge:

Stay updated on sustainable travel trends, eco-friendly accommodations, and responsible tourism practices worldwide. Develop in-depth knowledge of various destinations, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is provided to clients.
4. Sustainable Partnerships:

Collaborate with sustainable travel partners, including hotels, tour operators, and transportation providers. Negotiate and establish partnerships with businesses committed to eco-friendly and socially responsible practices.
5. Customer Education:

Educate clients on sustainable travel principles and the positive impact of their choices on local communities and the environment. Provide information on cultural sensitivities and responsible behavior during travel.
6. Booking and Logistics:

Facilitate booking processes for flights, accommodations, and activities while ensuring adherence to sustainability criteria. Manage logistics, including transportation arrangements and necessary documentation.
7. Crisis Management:

Assist clients in navigating unexpected situations, such as travel disruptions or emergencies, by providing timely support and alternative solutions.
8. Continuous Improvement:

Gather client feedback to improve services and enhance the sustainability aspects of travel offerings. Stay informed about new sustainability certifications and practices, integrating them into the company's offerings.
