Position Overview
This Transportation Planner role with AECOM Dubai supports major transport planning, mobility, and urban development projects across the Middle East. The position focuses on traffic impact studies, multimodal planning, technical analysis, and coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver smart and sustainable mobility solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing transport planning deliverables including sketches, calculations, and diagrams
• Support Traffic Impact Assessments, multimodal master plans, access and circulation studies, and capacity assessments
• Use transport planning software such as Synchro, SIDRA, and GIS; familiarity with VISSUM is an advantage
• Contribute to design quality using creative and technical skills
• Work under supervision to meet project schedules and budgets
• Participate in design coordination meetings with multidisciplinary teams
• Apply theoretical knowledge to real-world mobility and planning challenges
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and add value to project delivery

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Planning, or a related quantitative field
• Experience with traffic engineering tools such as Synchro, SIDRA, or HCS
• Understanding of modeling tools such as STEAM+, VISUM, or VISSIM
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Detail-oriented and capable of reviewing own work
• Proactive and motivated to learn and develop technical expertise
• Master's degree in Urban or Transportation Planning is preferred
