Transportation Planner
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Transportation Planner to join our team! In this role you will get to help deliver transportation projects.
What You'll Be Doing:
Conduct transportation planning studies such as transportation master plans , corridor studies etc.
Conduct associated operational analysis including intersection analysis and analysis of road segments and interchanges using standard techniques and packages (eg SYNCHRO, VISSIM, HCS); development and analysis of mitigation measures, and travel demand modeling
Understanding of highway design principles as they relate to transportation planning and engineering
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bacehlors Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
Minimum 3 years experience in transportation planning and engineering including preparation of traffic studies for small and large developments;
Very good communication skills as reflected in report writing and presentations
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Expertise in two or more of: Travel demand modeling (e.g. using CUBE), operational traffic analysis (using SYNCHRO, HCS, Sidra, etc.); micro-simulation using VISSIM or Aimsun.
Experience in public transportation planning, non-motorized transportation, and parking management
MS in transportation planningtraffic engineering.
Work experience from ITC Abu Dhabi is desirable.
