Job Description

The transportation in-charge is responsible for overseeing and planning the daily movement of laborers between construction sites and labor camps. This position involves overseeing a team of drivers, ensuring that the cars are prepared and in compliance, adhering to schedules, and enabling smooth employee mobility in line with company policies.

Plan and coordinate daily pick-up and drop-off schedules for employees. Control fleet utilization, fuel consumption, and route optimization. Maintain an updated transport roster and route plan based on shift timings. Ensure vehicle registration, insurance, and documentation are always valid and updated. Coordinate with camp and site coordinators to schedule transportation around work hours. Respond to and report any crises, delays, or mishaps pertaining to transportation. Keep tabs on mileage and fuel use, and create reports pertaining to transportation. Make sure that all transportation-related activities follow UAE traffic laws, RTA regulations, and safety standards. Monitor drivers' compliance with speed limits, safety regulations, and tiredness management. Review driver performance, provide safety instruction, and take any disciplinary action. Ensure that all drivers hold valid UAE Driver's license (light/ heavy vehicles) Reduce transportation-related expenses while maintaining high standards of service. Monitor transportation expenses including fuel, maintenance, tolls, and penalties.
Skills:

6-7 yrs of experience in transport Coordination Knowledge of local traffic laws and vehicle maintenance practices.
