Position Overview
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is looking for a Transportation Data Analytics Specialist to join its Enterprise Command and Control Department. This role focuses on transportation data analytics, modeling, and predictive techniques to improve journey planning and enhance operational efficiency across multi-modal transportation systems in Dubai.
What You'll Do

• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to classify and integrate transportation data from multiple sources, creating comprehensive datasets for analysis.
• Incorporate various transportation modes into real-time models to enhance intermodal connectivity and optimize solutions.
• Execute transportation modeling tasks, including model calibration, validation, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
• Conduct sensitivity and uncertainty analyses to ensure model accuracy and reliability.
• Develop and test real-time transportation models, ensuring alignment with real-world data.
• Generate analytical reports and dashboards using KPIs such as travel time, delays, and average speeds to support decision-making.
• Apply statistical, spatial, and machine learning techniques to extract insights and patterns in transportation systems.
• Design and develop innovative use cases to solve complex transportation challenges and improve operational efficiency.
• Support policy review and contribute to the development of technical documents in alignment with RTA standards.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions to support knowledge sharing and skill development within the organization.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or Transportation Planning.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation analytics, including transportation modeling and machine learning applications.
• Proficiency in data science tools, machine learning algorithms, data visualization platforms, SQL/NoSQL databases, and big data tools.
• Knowledge of spatial data analysis using GIS or QGIS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex datasets.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Data Science is a plus.
