You will be independently translating and proofreading documents such as business-related presentations, proposals and texts on topics related to market studies, business strategy, company organization, human resources, etc. from English to Arabic and vice versa. You will be expected to turn around a variety of documents in KPIs based deadlines. Your responsibilities will include:
You should be able to translate ~ 1800-2200 words in good quality, or proofread ~4000-4500 words in a business day and work towards increasing your productivity reasonably while maintaining the expected level of quality
You have an advanced knowledge of CAT tools and experience, and are able to quickly accommodate and adapt to the applicable CAT tool
Translate, proofread, edit, and update business related documents clearly, accurately and independently with-the highest quality
Proofread projects delivered by external service providers and internal junior colleagues, focusing on improving the quality and consistency of the final client facing output
Provide constructive feedback on the jobs delivered by external service providers and junior colleagues by following the standard feedback process
Translate and proofread directly in the translation management system in place, and in MS PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and other possible formats
Attend client meetings with case teams to discuss translation projects and answer questions
Request information from internal clients and if possible, from external clients or through internal clients to validate understanding of the source text, or to inquire about the client context for the sake of delivering validated translation
Develop and deepen your know-how in CAT technology to boost productivity and efficiency
Ability to estimate the effort of a given project and align with the service coordinator accordingly
Participate in the team wide learning and development initiatives (internships, functional training, competency development trainings …etc.) to facilitate knowledge sharing and capability building

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
Bachelor’s degree in English < > Arabic Translation, Linguistics or any relevant degree
Preferably with 5+ years of relevant experience
Advanced knowledge of CAT technology
Strong understanding of the local context
Advanced level computer skills; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Ability to provide interpretation services in client meetings and virtually when required is a plus
Understanding of the confidentiality of the BCG material and acting as a guardian in protection of privacy and confidentiality of BCG and BCG clients
You will be working closely with the Translation team in, which includes the Translation Service Coordinator, peers, colleagues and Team Leaders. You will be reporting to your respective Team Leader. You will be regularly interacting with the Consulting Staff, internal teams, ME leadership and other colleagues in offices across the BCG network. You will also be expected to interact work with external translation service providers as well as attend client meetings in person or remotely to provide interpretation services when required.
