Learning & Development Responsibilities
  • Identify and assess the training needs of the organization through job analysis, career paths and consultation with managers.
  • Creating training programmes that are aligned with the organisation’s objectives and having a strong understanding of what these are
  • Design and deliver e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings
  • Embracing different styles of training techniques, including e-learning, tutorial sessions or coaching
  • Implement effective and purposeful training methods.
  • Effectively manage the training budget.
  • Evaluate organizational performance to ensure that training is meeting business needs and improving performance.
  • Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities
  • Track employee success and progress
  • Help managers develop their team members through career pathing
  • Working closely with various leaders across the organisation and having a full understanding of their units and training requirements
  • Managing the development of the HR team from a training perspective
  • Create a curriculum to facilitate strategic training based on the organization’s goals.
  • Conducts department audits to ensure L&D standards are maintained
  • Select and manage resources, including working with both internal employees and training vendors to develop and deliver training.
  • Manage the technologies and technical personnel required to develop, manage and deliver training.
• Identifies training needs and training gaps in the organization. • Optimizes the training portfolio as specialized targeted courses are offered to managers and employees. • Prepares training manuals and training offers for employees and managers. • Evaluates the quality of training courses and implements improvements.
  • Keep up to date of training trends, developments and best practices.
  • Promote a training culture throughout the hotel, with the assistance of Departmental trainers and regular Train the Trainer programs

Other HR Responsibilities
  • Typing letters, memorandum, reports, forms and all other communications.
  • Assist in arranging appointment, meetings, and interviews.
  • Administering inquiries, telephone calls and visitors.
  • Processing incoming correspondence and maintaining a record of outgoing correspondence of the Department.
  • Assist in updating all staff personnel files on a regular basis.
  • Assist in maintaining the tracking of leaves, PHs and extra hours.
  • Assist in preparing and processing attendance and payroll.
  • Keeping all the files: active and leavers file safe and secure.
  • Assist the PRO for visa related matter.
  • Assist in arranging transport for new recruits, visa medical and other staff-related issues.
  • Updating staff list and manning on regular basis.
  • Assisting in the Staff Birthday Celebration, Employee of the Month and Town Hall Presentation.
  • Liaising with all suppliers concerning staff welfare and development: catering, transportation, accommodation maintenance, first aid, etc.
  • Assist in preparing and organizing all Sports and Social Activities that the department has for the staff.
  • Assist in sending regret letters to unsuccessful candidates and sending offer letter to successful ones.
  • Assist in preparing petty cash for the employee of the Month Winners, Visa cancellations fees, etc.
  • Updating the Staff Notice Board on regular basis.
  • Assist in coordinating with travel agency for the flight bookings of staff.
  • Assist in creating vacation settlement for staff who are going on vacation.
  • Coordinating with all the staff for different requests: engineering, salary certificates, etc.
  • Making sure that all HR business and colleague personal information is kept strictly confidential.
  • Assist in controlling on daily basis the staff attendance log.
  • Keeping all the legal documents valid and assuring all the legal documents are renewed on time.
  • Assist in organizing and supervising Melia Talk, minutes of meetings and follow up.
  • Assist with the recruitment of new staff members.
  • Inductions of new staff members.
• Assist in creating and supporting the HR Department with team building activities. • Being open and approachable to colleagues at any time and offer advice on personal or job-related issues to help the employee make the best decision.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
