Fashion Design Trainer

to join our team at Berkeley, a reputable training and educational consultancy. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering both theoretical and practical fashion design courses, including sewing and garment construction, to students at various skill levels.

Responsibilities

Teach fashion design theory and practical skills, including sketching, fabric selection, pattern making, garment construction, fashion history, and trend forecasting. Create engaging, up-to-date course content and lesson plans that align with the curriculum and industry standards. Provide practical, hands-on training in sewing, draping, pattern making, and garment fitting. Conduct regular assessments and offer constructive feedback to help students improve their design skills and technical knowledge. Keep abreast of the latest fashion trends, techniques, and technologies in the fashion industry to ensure the course content remains relevant.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Fashion Design or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in fashion design, including practical design work, teaching, or industry experience. Strong knowledge of garment construction, textiles, pattern drafting, and fashion trends. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students. A passion for fashion and teaching, with a commitment to students' success. Experience teaching or training fashion design at a professional or educational institution. Knowledge of emerging trends in sustainable fashion and digital fashion technologies.
